On Monday, a car involved in a two-vehicle crash flew off Interstate 8 and landed in the backyard of a house in El Cajon. According to NBC San Diego, the incident happened on eastbound I-8 near the Mollison Avenue on-ramp. One car rear-ended the other, causing one of the cars to lose control, go down a slope, and land on its roof in a backyard on Ednabelle Court. 

The three occupants of the overturned car suffered moderate-to-severe injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital. None of their injuries were life-threatening. There were no injuries in the other vehicle. At the time of the report, it was believed that speeding played a role in the crash.
