Child Struck, Killed by Car in South San Jose
On Tuesday afternoon, an 11-year-old was struck and killed by a car while riding a scooter in South San Jose. According to ABC 7 News, the collision occurred around 4:30 pm on Camden Avenue near the Cambrian Park neighborhood, close to Highway 85. The child was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained on scene and was cooperative.
One witness, who worked in an office across the street from the crash site, stated that the intersection was one of the busiest in San Jose. The area remained closed while the incident was investigated. This is San Jose’s 30th traffic fatality of the year.
