Earlier this week, a driver had to be rescued from a crashed vehicle in El Cajon. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened early Thursday morning, just after 12:45 a.m. Initial reports indicate that the crash occurred at the intersection of Vernon Way and Cuyamaca Street. Apparently, a driver lost control of his pickup truck and struck several parked cars.

The pickup truck came to rest on its side, and first responders had to use the Jaw of Life to cut the roof of the truck to rescue the trapped driver. That person was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries, and for a DUI  evaluation. At the time of the news report, there was no word on whether or not that person was facing any charges.
