Earlier this week, there was a fatal collision in the Midway District area. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on Tuesday evening at about 7:00 p.m. Initial reports indicate that the crash occurred at the intersection of Midway Drive, West Point Loma Boulevard and Sports Arena Boulevard. Apparently, a pickup truck struck a 65-year-old pedestrian. 

The pedestrian did not survive his injuries, although witnesses on the scene did attempt CPR. The driver did remain on the scene to cooperate with authorities. A portion of the roadway had to be closed as first responders and crews worked. This fatal crash may still be under investigation with law enforcement officials.
