Earlier this week, there was a fatal crash involving a car and an SUV on Interstate Five in Carlsbad. According to ABC San Diego News 10, the incident happened on Wednesday night. Initial reports indicate that the wreck happened in the southbound lanes of the roadway, near Cannon Road, just before 11:20 p.m. on Wednesday night.  

Apparently, a person was pulled over trying to fix a problem with his SUV, when a Honda Accord sedan struck the back of it. The man was trapped and then dragged across the freeway. First responders rushed to the scene and attempted life-saving measures, but the injured man did not survive his injuries. The driver of the Accord was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
