Earlier this week, there was a fatal multi-vehicle crash on the 405 Freeway in the Westwood area. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the incident happened near Sunset Boulevard at about 3:30 a.m. on Monday. Initial reports indicate that four or five cars were involved in the crash. A pedestrian was also involved in the collision, and that person was pronounced dead on the scene.   

First responders rushed to the scene, where a SigAlert was issued. All southbound lanes were blocked as crews worked. At the time of the news report, there were very few details released about the fatal crash. There has been no information on whether or not anybody else was injured or if any of the drivers are facing citations or charges associated with the wreck. This crash is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
