Earlier this week, there was a fatal pedestrian crash on Mira Mesa Boulevard in the Sorrento Valley area. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the collision happened on Wednesday evening near Pacific Heights Boulevard. Apparently, at about 8:15 p.m., a woman was attempting to cross at the intersection with Mira Mesa Boulevard, when she was struck by a 2016 Chrysler Pacifica van.  

Very few details about this fatal pedestrian crash have been released, but we do know that the woman died on the scene. First responders had to close Mira Mesa Boulevard in both directions, between Lusk Boulevard and Sequence Drive at Huennekens Street, as they worked. At the time of the news report, this crash was still under investigation.
