Earlier this week, there was a fatal crash involving a Polaris Slingshot in the East Village area. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened on Wednesday night, at about 10:54 p.m., on the 300 block of 16th Street. Initial reports indicate that the Polaris was headed southbound on 16th Street, when it collided with two parked vehicles. The Polaris left the roadway and went into a ditch.

The driver of the Polaris, a 32-year-old man, sustained internal injuries in the wreck, and the passenger did not survive their injuries. At the time of the report, officials were looking into whether or not speed was a factor. This fatal Polaris crash is likely still under investigation with law enforcement officials.
