Earlier this week, an off-duty Los Angeles Police Department motorcycle officer was injured in a hit-and-run crash in downtown L.A. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the incident happened on Thursday afternoon somewhere in the area of Wall Street, between Winston and Fourth Streets.

Although very few details about this collision have been released, we do know that the hit-and-run driver was apprehended nearby after the wreck. The injured LAPD officer was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. At the time of the news report, that person was expected to make a full recovery. There has been no word on what charges or citations the hit-and-run driver is facing, and this crash is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
