Earlier this week, two Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers were injured in a multi-vehicle crash that happened in East Hollywood. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the wreck occurred near the intersection of Melrose and Western Avenues at about 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. Initial reports indicate that they were in a police SUV and responding to an emergency when they were involved in the collision.   

Apparently, there were three total vehicles involved in the crash. Both officers were taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. Additionally, a driver of another one of the vehicles was transported to a hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. At this time, there has been now word on the cause of the crash, which could still be under investigation with authorities.
