Profile

David sees the suffering that injuries cause. Therefore, he treats every client with the same care he would offer his own family and battles the profit-driven insurance companies to ensure that his clients get the compensation they deserve.

As a result of David’s compassion and commitment to protecting his client’s rights, he has achieved numerous successes at both the trial court and appellate court levels. Recent victories include a $1.5 million settlement for a client who suffered a head-on collision, Doe v. Modesto (unanimous appellate victory for a baby girl who lost her mother due to the city’s negligence), and a $675,000 settlement for a young woman who was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident. David maintains a rating of a 9.1/10 on Avvo, and he was named a Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2015 and 2016, a distinction held by less than 2.5% of attorneys in California.

Prior to joining Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, Inc., David operated his own firm, handling personal injury and appellate matters. He has also worked at the top Am Law-rated firm, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, where he defended large insurance companies and in so doing became familiar with their strategies for avoiding fairly compensating people facing serious injuries. He graduated cum laude from University of San Francisco School of Law. During law school, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the law review, published a law review comment analyzing the constitutionality of the Endangered Species Act, and earned CALI Awards for Excellence (highest grade) in five courses.

As the former Captain of the Middlebury College Swim Team, David is still drawn to the water and enjoys surfing and ocean swimming. These pursuits as well as maintaining a connection to nature cultivate his compassion and sharpen his legal skills. In addition, he loves spending time with the most important ones in his life—his wife, sons (Caleb and Weston), and pooch.
