On Thursday afternoon, a motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle collision in South San Jose, north of Almaden Lake Park. The crash took place around 4:00 pm in the Winfield Boulevard and Furlong Drive area, according to NBC Bay Area. The motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene after being hit by the involved car. It was unknown if the driver of the car was injured or would face charges.

Traffic was impacted for several hours between Blossom Hill and Coleman roads on Winfield Boulevard. At the time of the report, the cause of the crash was still under investigation. This incident marks San Jose’s 24th fatal collision this year.
