Motorcyclist Killed, Passenger Severely Injured Following Crash in San Diego
On Saturday morning, one person was killed and another severely injured after crashing their motorcycle in the Valencia Park neighborhood. According to FOX 5 San Diego, the incident began around 12:45 am in the 6200 block of Imperial Avenue, when officers pulled over a 2019 Harley Davidson motorcycle for a traffic violation. During the stop, it was discovered that the male rider had a felony arrest warrant. When police tried to place the man under arrest, he fled the scene at a high rate of speed. Before officers were able to pursue the motorcycle, the rider collided with two parked vehicles on Imperial Avenue.
Both riders were ejected during the crash. The man was pronounced dead at the scene while the woman was taken to a hospital in serious condition after losing her left leg. Her injuries were reported to be life-threatening.
