Motorist Struck and Killed After Attempting to Fix Vehicle on Freeway
On Monday, a motorist working on his disabled car was struck and killed on the 91 Freeway when another car lost control of their vehicle. The collision took place around midnight on the westbound shoulder of the freeway between the 241 Freeway and Green River Drive, according to KTLA. The impact sent the victim onto the freeway lanes, and they were pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver did not appear to sustain any injuries.
With the exception of the FastTrack lanes, all westbound lanes were closed for several hours. At the time of the report, it was unclear as to what had caused the driver to lose control.
