On Monday morning, two people were killed and three injured in a crash in Tulare County. According to KMPH, the three-vehicle crash occurred just after midnight on Highway 43 near Avenue 56. A man was driving a Dodge Charger northbound on Highway 43 while a GMC Canyon was traveling southbound on Highway 43. Another man was driving a BMW southbound behind the GMC. For unknown reasons, the Charger driver veered left and into the southbound lane toward the GMC. The GMC attempted to avoid a crash, but the Charger’s left side struck the GMC’s left side. The GMC swerved onto the dirt shoulder while the Charge continued north, eventually crashing head-on into the BMW.

The Charger and BMW drivers both sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. Both right front passengers of the Charger and BMW suffered major injuries. The GMC driver suffered minor injuries. At the time of the report, it was unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
