Earlier this week, nine people were injured after a vehicle crashed into a middle school in Perris. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the incident happened at Tomas Rivera Middle School at about 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. Initial reports indicate that a Toyota Corolla crashed into one of the school buildings.

According to the news report, all of those injured were adults, and no children were injured in the crash. The school was ordered to shelter in place right after the crash. Apparently, the school had let out prior to the crash, but there was still a staff meeting going on. At this time, there has been no word on the cause of the crash, and it’s likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
