Over the weekend, a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in Escondido. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on West Valley Parkway, near 9th Avenue, on Sunday night. Apparently, the 32-year-old pedestrian was trying to cross the street when he was hit by a vehicle.

First responders rushed to the scene. The injured pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for treatment, but he did not survive his injuries. At the time of the report, very little information was released on the cause of this crash, which is still under investigation with local law enforcement officials. The Escondido Police Department is asking anybody with information about this wreck to contact their office.
