Earlier this week, a pedestrian was fatally struck on Interstate 805 in Kearny Mesa. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened early Monday morning at about 4:35 a.m. Initial reports indicate that a pedestrian was walking across the northbound lanes of the Interstate, just south of Clairemount Mesa Boulevard, when he was struck by a white Mazda and a silver Lexus. 

The driver of the Mazda reportedly tried to swerve in an attempt to avoid the pedestrian, but ended up hitting him. The Lexus hit the pedestrian after that. Both of those drivers did remain on the scene. Sadly, the pedestrian did not survive his injuries. This incident may still be under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
