Last week, a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in El Cajon. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened near Cuyamaca Street and Weld Boulevard at about 10:20 p.m. on Friday night. Initial reports indicate that a woman was struck by a 2016 Toyota Tacoma. The driver of the truck did remain on the scene to cooperate with authorities.  

At the time of the report, there was no word on whether or not the driver was facing any citations or charges. The El Cajon Police Department was also still trying to identify the pedestrian. Anybody with information about this fatal pedestrian collision is being asked to come forward, as this incident is still under investigation.
