Earlier this week, a pedestrian was struck and injured in the Fairmont Park area of San Diego. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on Monday evening on the 3800 block of Home Avenue, near Federal Boulevard. Initial reports indicate that a 23-year-old pedestrian was walking in the crosswalk when he was struck by a Toyota Camry. 

First responders rushed to the scene, and the pedestrian had to be transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries including fractures to both legs. The driver of the Camry, a 49-year-old woman, did not report any injuries on the scene. At this time, there has been no word on whether or not she is facing any citations or charges, and this pedestrian crash may still be under investigation with local law enforcement authorities.
