On Sunday morning, a male pedestrian was struck and killed by a car in Monterey County. The incident occurred around 4:28 am on Espinosa Road, east of SR-183, according to MSN. A black Mercedes sedan was traveling westbound on Espinosa Road when it hit a pedestrian that had been walking in the westbound lane. The pedestrian died at the scene. The Mercedes driver was uninjured. 

The driver remained on scene after the crash and cooperated with authorities. At the time of the report, it was still being investigated as to why the pedestrian was walking on Espinosa Road. The exact location of the crash is unknown.
