Earlier this week, a police officer on a motorcycle was injured in an Oceanside crash. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on South Coast Highway, sometime before 3:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon. For currently unknown reasons, the motorcycle collided with another vehicle in the roadway.

First responders rushed to the scene, where the police officer had to be transported to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla for treatment of injuries. A portion of the roadway, between Godfrey and Morse in both directions, was closed as crews and investigators worked the scene. Thankfully, the police officer’s injuries were described as non-life threatening. At this time, there has been no word on the cause of the motorcycle crash, which could still be under investigation.
