On Monday night, authorities were led on a chase through Ventura County and North Hollywood following an alleged carjacking. According to ABC 7, the pursuit began when the suspect stole a white truck with a trailer attached. The trailer belonged to Matt’s Coffee, and an employee was inside the trailer at the time. The employee eventually jumped out and suffered some road rash, but is expected to recover.

The driver ultimately lost control of the vehicle after making a sharp turn, which caused the trailer to roll onto its side and hit the sidewalk. After crashing into a local dance studio, the suspect fled the scene, but eventually surrendered to police from his hiding spot inside a porta-potty. At the time of the report, he is facing multiple charges, including carjacking.
