Last week, a teen was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the Yucca Valley area. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the incident happened on Friday evening on SR-62 (Twentynine Palms Highway). Initial reports indicate that the teenage male was found unresponsive near the center of the median, just east of Avalon Avenue. Deputies discovered the teen while they were patrolling the area.  

Although medical aid was rendered on the scene, and the teen was rushed to Hi-Desert Medical Center, he did not survive his injuries. At the time of the report, there was no word on whether or not law enforcement officers had any leads. This fatal hit-and-run crash is likely still under investigation with authorities.
