Over the weekend, a teen was injured while riding his bike in Redondo Beach. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the 15-year-old was riding his e-bike on Saturday night, when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver. There is surveillance footage from a nearby home doorbell security camera that shows the incident. After the hit, the bicycle and teen were partially lodged under the front grille of the pickup truck.

The teen was dragged for about a block before being able to dislodge himself from the bike and truck. He scrambled to the side of the road, and the truck finally stopped. The driver then backed up to remove the stuck bicycle before fleeing the scene. Apparently, this is not an uncommon occurrence in this area, and hit-and-run crashes involving bicycles are becoming a local concern.
