Teen Pedestrian Injured at Bus Stop Collision in Mira Mesa
Last week, an 18-year-old pedestrian was injured when she was struck by a vehicle at a bus stop in Mira Mesa. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on Wednesday near Mira Mesa Boulevard and Camino Ruiz. Apparently, a driver lost control of his 2017 Fiat Spider when making a left turn from Camino Ruiz. The vehicle fishtailed, jumped a curb and then hit the teen. The vehicle came to a stop when it crashed into a bench at the Metropolitan Transit System bus stop.
First responders rushed to the scene, and the 18-year-old woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. At the time of the report, no information had been released on whether or not the driver was facing any charges or citations.
