Earlier this week, two cyclists were killed in a drunk driving crash in the Chatsworth area. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the wreck happened on Tuesday evening sometime before 7:15 p.m., near Plummer Street and Lurline Avenue. Initial reports indicate that two people were riding their bikes when a drunk driver in a red truck struck them. He continued driving and hit a wall in the area of Knapp Street and De Soto Avenue.
Although very little information has been released about the crash, we know that a man and a woman were killed, and the woman was reportedly seven months pregnant. The driver, 58-year-old Nelson Rodriguez of Chatsworth, was arrested and taken into custody.
