Woman Killed in Alleged Street Takeover Crash in South Los Angeles
On Saturday morning, a woman was killed in a collision following an alleged street takeover in South Los Angeles. According to KTLA, the incident happened around 12:45 am at South Central Avenue and El Segundo Boulevard in L.A.’s Willowbrook neighborhood. The driver of a black Toyota hatchback was traveling southbound on Central when it hit a black Infiniti sedan.
Video footage showed the wrecked Infiniti resting on the sidewalk, with the heavily damaged Toyota on the street corner.
The Infiniti driver fled the scene and had not been apprehended at the time of the report. One of his passengers was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries, while the other suffered major injuries and later died. Impaired driving is believed to be a factor in the collision.
