On Tuesday night, a woman sustained critical injuries after crashing her motorcycle in the Midway neighborhood. According to FOX 5 San Diego, the crash happened around 8:30 pm in the 3100 block of Midway Drive. The woman was riding a 2013 Honda Repsol CBR 600RR eastbound when for unknown reasons, she hit the roadway’s raised concrete center island and was ejected. Both the motorcycle and woman slid into the westbound lanes and hit a 2019 silver Dodge Grand Caravan. The motorcycle continued sliding and hit a 2018 gray Toyota RAV4.  

Neither of the drivers were injured. The motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries, including a collapsed lung and a lacerated spleen and liver. At the time of the report, police stated that DUI did not play a role in the crash.
