On Monday afternoon, two people were killed in a wrong-way crash on northbound Highway 85 in San Jose. The collision happened around 3:50 pm on Highway 85, south of Highway 87, according to CBS News. CHP initially received calls about a white Toyota Tacoma traveling south in the northbound lanes on Highway 85. The truck was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crashed into a Tesla.  

The occupants of the Tesla, a woman and a teenage boy, were pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver sustained major injuries and was taken to the hospital. At the time of the report, CHP said they would be recommending a felony manslaughter charge be filed.
