Earlier this week, there was a wrong-way crash on the 101 Freeway in Hollywood. According to KTLA news Channel Five, the incident happened on Monday near the Sunset Boulevard off ramp. Initial reports indicate that a driver was headed southbound in a northbound lane of the highway just before 12:00 p.m. Apparently, about 10 vehicles were involved, and lanes two, three and four were impacted during the wrong-way crash.

First responders rushed to the scene, and a SigAlert was issued. The lanes had to be closed, and traffic was diverted as crews worked. At this time, there has been no word on how many people were injured in this crash, or why the driver was headed in the wrong direction. This wreck is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement authorities.
