Last week, there was a wrong-way DUI crash on Interstate Five in Carlsbad. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened early Friday morning near Cannon Road. Initial reports indicate that a pickup truck and a sedan were involved in the crash. Apparently, the black truck was going northbound in the southbound lanes, when it struck a car head-on.

There were two people in the car, and when first responders arrived on the scene, they had to rescue the driver from the wreckage. Thankfully, that person’s injuries were not considered life threatening on the screen. A Sig Alert was issued, and a portion of the roadway was closed for a while. The driver of the truck was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
