Most Dangerous Intersections in LA Are In One Neighborhood

A recent KTLA News Channel Five article reported that the most dangerous intersections in Los Angeles are predominantly located in one neighborhood. It’s not like Los Angeles is a small town. Geographically, Los Angeles is huge. There are over 7,500 miles of city streets and thousands of intersections. To find out where the most dangerous intersections are, data was analyzed from 13,851 police reports on crashes that resulted in injuries or fatalities between 2020 and 2022. In those reports, there were 86 intersections that had at least 10 crashes involving injuries or deaths.

Most Dangerous Intersections Are in South Central L.A.

Those intersections are almost all located in South Central Los Angeles. This is the area south of downtown, from I-10 to I-105. The most dangerous intersection was at South Vermont Avenue and West Florence Avenue. There were 19 injury crashes there between 2020 and 2022. Listed below are the top five most dangerous intersections in Los Angeles.
