On Sunday night, three people were killed in a wrong-way, triple-vehicle crash on Highway 46 East. The collision happened near Shandon at around 10:30 pm, according to AOL. A 2021 Mercedes was traveling west in the eastbound lane of the highway when it crashed head-on into a 2022 Honda. A 2015 Honda was closely following the first car eastbound, causing it to pile up on the initial crash.  

The driver and two passengers of the 2022 Honda suffered fatal injuries. The wrong-way driver of the Mercedes and the fourth person in the 2022 Honda sustained major injuries and were taken to the hospital. The 2015 Honda driver suffered minor injuries. At the time of the report, it was unclear if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
